I find it simply amazing that the liberals have the courage and the audacity to go from one standpoint to another.

I completely agree with you Ryan. I had posted this elsewhere on the net in response to this video:

"This video was really well put together. I think that all these very strong comments by the Democrats are extremely hard to just brush away with "Bush lied to us." They are really going to have to find a much stronger argument than that to explain away such strong convictions. I really don't think Bush is so Godlike to have had the power to indoctrinate them so. Nor do I believe these shrewd career politicians could be so easily swayed by a political enemy. Especially so long after 9/11.

I think it boils down to politics plain and simple. It's major political capital for them to completely derail Bush and putting forth the idea that he somehow manipulated nearly the entirety of the Democratic caucus - however implausible - not only satisfies the political will of a good number of folks in their party (and provides an adequate explanation for the sticky situation of how they can be against the war now when they were clearly for it in 2002-2003) but also serves to cause tremendous damage to the administration and its public support. That's a pretty big carrot to continue propagating the idea that they were all mightily duped. And for those items mentioned they have been extremely effective thus far.

It's a sad thing for me to see - but at the same time it's kind of impressive. No sarcasm intended. I'm being honest about that. I really don't think the Republicans are shrewd enough politically to be able to pull something like that off. Not that I would want them to, but I think it highlights the fact that politically-speaking, the Republicans are no match for the Democrats. At least not at this point in history. "
